SOUS Die Cut Challenge - Anything New Year

Hi everyone and welcome to my blog! Today I have a Stuck On U Sketches Die Cut Challenge for you. The theme is Anything New Year. I created this cute little card for you with this adorable penguin on it all dress out and ready for a night out on the town. I used Create a Critter 2 for my die cut and I cut him out at 3.90" on my Cricut Explore.
It is great for cutting little tiny things like his bow tie and cane. I used Stickles on his hat band, bow tie, and cane to give him a little sparkle on such a big night.
Here are the details:

  • Cricut cart: Create a Critter 2
  • Paper: DCWV The Year Round Stack
  • Cardstock: Bazzill
  • Ribbon: Really Reasonable Ribbon
  • Stamp: My Pink Stamper "Happiest Moments"
  • Ink: Versafine - Onyx Black
  • Stickles: Starry Night
  • Adhesive: Scotch, Zig
Thank you so much for coming to my blog and taking a look at my SOUS Die Cut Challenge - Anything New Year card. I hope to see you over at the website with your project for such a fun challenge. Have a great weekend! :)

SOUS Die Cut Challenge - Anything Christmas

Welcome to my blog! Today I have a card I made for the Stuck On U Sketches Die Cut Challenge - Anything Christmas. I really love this really cute reindeer and thought he would look perfect on top of a Christmas card. I made it look like he is flying over the roof tops on Christmas Eve. I cut the little reindeer out from Cricut cartridge Create A Critter 2. I cut him out at 4". I put some Xmas Red Stickles
on his nose too. I then place him on the card. I know it is kind of hard to see the embossing underneath the reindeer. It is supposed to say Merry Christmas. I embossed with gold powder. I think next time I will do the embossing more then once! :) Here are the details:

  • Cricut cart: Create A Critter 2
  • Paper: American Crafts
  • Cardstock: Bazzill
  • Stamp: My Pink Stamper "Christmas Biggie"
  • Stickles: Xmas Red
  • Embossing powder: Gold
  • Ink: Versamark clear
  • Adhesive: Scotch, Zig
Thanks again for visiting my blog and checking us out over at Stuck On U Sketches. Come join our Design Team Die Cut Challenge - Anything Christmas and have get into the Christmas spirit with your cute Christmas project. Thanks again and have a great weekend! :)

I then took some Stickles to the ribbon and the big bird's hat. I used my I-Rock to place a metallic red dot at where the knot would be. Here are the details:

  • Cardstock: Bazzill
  • Stickles: Xmas Red and Star Dust

SOUS Project Life Challenge - Woodgrain

Welcome to my blog! Here is my latest spread for the Stuck On U Sketches Project Life Design Team Challenge - Wood grain. I used wood grain not only with my cards but also with some wood veneer I placed on a few of the cards. I found this challenge a fun one to do. I love working with wood veneer. It is such a fun new
embellishment for not only scrapbooking but also on your Project Life pages. So give this challenge a chance and link up your spreads over on the SOUS site.
It is sad to say but SOUS will be dissolving it's Project Life Design Team. I will be continuing to post my personal Project Life pages but I will be doing it on my new Project Life blog..."Live, Love, Project Life." So please come visit as I will be posting daily my December Daily album starting December 2.
Thanks so much for coming to and looking at my blog today. Thank you also for all your comments and such over this wonderful last year I have had being on the SOUS Project Life DT. It has been a wonderful experience that I have absolutely loved. SOUS Die Cut Challenge - Fall Colors

Hello and welcome to my blog! Here is my project for the Stuck On U Sketches Die Cut Challenge - Fall Colors. I so loved working on this challenge. I love this time of year and all the colors that come with it so I had a blast making my card for you. I knew I wanted a cute little animal so I chose Cricut cartridge "Create A Critter 2." I cut the Thanksgiving squirrel out at 3-1/2". I used Gold Stickles on the buckle of the hat. All the leaves are punched out from a Darice punch. They are about a 1/2" tall. I scattered them on the card. I placed ribbon around the card and pop dotted the squirrel on. I then stamped my sentiment. Here are the details:

  • Cricut cart: Create A Critter 2
  • Cardstock: Bazzill
  • Ribbon: Really Reasonable Ribbon
  • Stickles: Gold
  • Punch: Darice Leaf Punch
  • Stamp: My Craft Spot "Happy Thanksgiving"
  • Ink: Versafine "Black Onyx"
  • Adhesive: Scotch, Zig
Thanks so much for coming to and looking at my blog. It means a lot to me. And thanks for joining us over at Stuck On U Sketches. I hope you all participate in the challenge too for your chance to be in our Top 3! Have a great weekend everyone! :)

SOUS Project Life Challenge - Plaid

Here is my spread for the Stuck On U Sketches Project Life Challenge - Plaid. I have to admit that this was not an easy challenge for me to do. I wasn't sure if I had any Project Life cards that would work for it because during the month of October I only use Halloween themed cards. But voila I found one which I used it for my title card. There is also some plaid on my second
page in the bottom right corner too. Plaid can be a fun way of adding several colors to your page all on one card. I just added some washi tape to it and my date and week info to make it a fun card.

Thanks so much for coming to my blog today and looking at my Project Life challenge spread. Join us over at SOUS by using some plaid on your pages and letting us know by using the link on the website. Thanks again and have a great week! :)

SOUS Die Cut Challenge - Trick or Treat

Here is my project for the Stuck On U Sketches Die Cut Challenge - Trick or Treat. I love this time of year, especially for Halloween. I really love making all the cute and scary cards and projects.
For this challenge I created a cute and fun way to give out some special treats to some very special trick-er treat-ers! The box itself is cut from one of my favorite Cricut cartridges, Chic-n-Scary, at 4-3/4". From bottom to top the box measures 4-1/2"h by 2-3/4"w by 2-1/8"d. I then took a white gel pen and did a dash line all the way around the box. I recommend doing this before putting the box together. I took a piece of paper cut to 2-1/2" by 10". I glued it around the box, cutting off the excess, then I glued the box together. The pumpkin on the front is cut at 2-3/4" from Cricut cartridge Mini Monsters. The purple ruffle is a piece of paper cut to 1-1/4" by 8". I scored the paper every 1/4" then folded the paper back and forth. After that I glued the ends together and let it dry. Then I glued the ruffle to a 2" purple circle. When it is completely dried I glued the pumpkin to the ruffle and the whole thing to the box. Here are the details:

  • Cricut cart.: Chic-n-Scary, Mini Monsters
  • Paper: Doodlebug (2005)
  • Cardstock: Bazzill
  • White Gel Pen: Signo Broad White
  • Adhesive: Scotch ATG, Scotch Quick Dry

I really appreciate you coming to my blog and checking out my really cute Halloween project. Don't forget to join us over at the SOUS Die Cut challenge Trick or Treat with your amazing project. Thanks again for looking at my treat box and have a great weekend! :)

SOUS Project Life Challenge - Use Black, Orange, and White Primarily

Here is my spread for the Stuck On U Sketches Project Life Challenge: Use primarily white, orange, and black. I have to admit that I totally loved doing this challenge. This time of year is my favorite. I love Fall. I love the changing of the temperatures, the color changing of all the trees around me, and most importantly, my favorite holiday, I love...HALLOWEEN!! I wanted to use a page protector on this one that I hardly ever use and that is Design E. I know a lot of people have a hard time with this pocket page because Project Life doesn't come with 6x6 cards. I like to think I am doing 4 little traditional layouts. I take each pocket and use my 4x6 and 3x4 cards and use them in different ways. I angle them to take up more space and give an interesting look. On this spread I used some unexpected items. In the bottom right corner I used a painted wood embellishment. Also the little leaves were once buttons, I just clipped off the shaft.
I really hope you enjoyed my Project Life spread and also hope that you will come join us at SOUS for this challenge. Thanks again! :)

SOUS Die Cut Challenge - Anything Autumn

Here is my project for the Stuck On U Sketches Die Cut Challenge - Anything Autumn. I really love how this card came out. It is very simple but has sort of an elegance to it. I love the changing of the leaves this time of year. This is my favorite season. I cut the leaf out at 4" from the Cricut cartridge Stretch Your Imagination. It is an older cartridge but still a goodie. Here are the details:

  • Cricut cart: Stretch Your Imagination
  • Paper: Unknown (Was in my scraps)
  • Cardstock: Bazzill
  • Ribbon: Really Reasonable Ribbon
  • Brads: Making Memories
  • Stickles: Gold
  • Adhesive: Scotch
Thank you so much for looking at my blog today. I really hope you are inspired by this challenge to make your own project to submit to our site Stuck On U Sketches. Have a great weekend! :)

Reorganizing My Scraproom

Here are several pics of my very messy and disorganized scraproom. I have started the challenge from Tiffany Spaulding's "Fall 2014 Get Organized Challenge." It is a 8-week challenge to help you get all of your supplies in order so that you will be able to go to your scrap area and scrapbook. Each week on Tuesday at 10am Tiffany does a live video on Livestream. Right now we are in week 4 - A Plethora of Pictures.
My room has been torn apart in all different directions. Last week I ordered and received a Scraprack which Tiffany makes. It holds whatever scrappy supplies you put into it and makes it all available at your finger tips. My room is messier now then when I first started because I have been breaking down my old storage to put into my new Scraprack. I am hoping that by the time this challenge is done my room will be transformed into a beautiful scraproom. Here is my inspiration:

Well, I need to get back to work so I can get back to scrapping. Thanks so much for looking at my blog! :)

SOUS Project Life Challenge - Summer

If you are looking for my die cut project please scroll down to the entry. Here is my project for the SOUS Project Life Challenge - Summer. This challenge was so much fun! I took all my summer cards that I had and used them on this page plus some brighter colored cards. I also tried to keep all the embellishments summer related. Doing a summer page is very quite easy. Just bring together some brighter colors with mainly yellows, oranges, and hot pink and you got a summer looking page. And remember that we have a great sponsor this month. Just complete any of this months challenges and post them on the SOUS site for your chance to win.

    July Sponsor

Thank you so much for looking at my blog. I really hope that you enjoy this weeks challenge, and hope to see your projects on the Stuck On U Sketches site. Have a great day! :)

SOUS Project Life Challenge - Buttons

If you are looking for my SOUS Die Cut Challenge - Going Somewhere, just scroll down please. Hello everyone! And welcome to my blog. I want to first apologize for being so late with this post. I old computer crashed on me and I had to wait to get my new computer to do it. Plus we are getting ready to go on vacation and my mind has been somewhere else lately. But here it is. This weeks SOUS Challenge was to use buttons on your Project Life spread. I love using buttons on all things scrapbooking but I have to admit that I have never used them on my Project Life pages until now. I simply used them as boarders, accents, and even as the number 26 (this was my favorite part). Buttons are pretty versatile and can be used pretty much anywhere. You can use different sizes and colors. I simply dumped out my button holders and got to work. Sometimes I will put thread through them too. Buttons always seem to finish off a page. So come on and give this pretty easy challenge a try. And to make the incentive for doing this great challenge even greater we have a sponsor this month and here is your prize:
     July Sponsor

I prize was generously donated by one of our design team members Helen. So please come join us at SOUS and give this fun challenge a go. I think you will be very pleased with how your Project Life pages will come out just by adding some beautiful buttons. Thanks so much for coming to my blog and looking. Have a great day! :)
